José Alfredo Hernández is the founder of The Law Office of José Alfredo Hernández, APC, Established in 2006. Attorney Hernández completed the first two years of his bachelor's degree at the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB), before transferring and earning his bachelor's degree in History from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1997. He graduated from Whittier Law School with his Juris Doctor in 2000. At Whittier, he served as a member of the Whittier Law School Trial Advocacy Honors Board and was a Fellow at the Center for Children's Rights. Attorney Hernández clerked at various law firms and public entities both as an undergraduate and as a law student including being a law clerk at the Orange County District Attorney's Office. Attorney Hernández gained invaluable experience as an associate attorney for the first six years of his career before establishing his firm.

Mr. Hernández represents individuals throughout Southern California on a variety of criminal charges including but not limited to allegations of domestic violence, driving under the influence, assaults, drug offenses, theft offenses and other serious felonies. Attorney Hernández is an excellent negotiator and works diligently to attain the best possible outcome for his clients. Nevertheless, Attorney Hernández understands that in order to have any leverage in plea bargaining negotiations, he must be prepared to take his cases to trial. Working closely with his team that includes a seasoned private investigator, Attorney Hernández has had a tremendous amount of success in getting charges reduced or outright dismissed before incurring the expense of trial; but is always well prepared to represent individuals through the trial process.
